Analysis and Control of Molecular Motion on a Femtosecond Timescale

With the availability of ultrashort laser pulses, the analysis and
control of chemical reactions on the femtosecond timescale has become possible.
Our contribution will focus on various approaches to follow and ultimately
drive a chemical reaction into a desired direction by the interaction of
the molecular wave packet with tailor made light pulses. We will present
recent examples from our laboratory.
